Internationalisation and quality: a comprehensive approach through CeQuInt

Internationalisation of higher education (HE) is a complex phenomenon and strongly influenced by the context in which it takes place. Hence, internationalisation of teaching and learning varies in different HE settings. Nevertheless, it should always have an impact on the quality of education and on the enhancement of international and intercultural competencies of students, graduates, and staff.

The Certificate for Quality in Internationalisation (CeQuInt) provides a framework to this comprehensive approach, both for programmes and institutions alike; this framework mirrors the concept of “internationalisation of the curriculum” and can serve as “guidebook” for the internationalisation of teaching and learning at Austrian higher education institutions.

This event provides insights into the structure and purpose of CeQuInt and how it can be used to facilitate the internationalisation of teaching and learning of higher education institutions and the enhancement of international and intercultural competencies for all students and staff.

Event review:

On 09. November 2020 internationalisation and quality managers from higher education institutions all around the world met in a virtual setting to discuss holistic approaches to internationalisation and the framework of the Certificate for Quality in Internationalisation (CeQuInt).
