Lernergebnisse der Lehrveranstaltung

After successfully completing the course, students can

  • draw links between economic and socio-political issues based on the current topics (public services) discussed during the semester. (e.g. the social housing market, selected services of general interest as e.g. energy supply, water supply) and
  • relate these links to macroeconomic goals (e.g. economic growth, distribution, save environment, low inflation and high employment)
  • distinguish modes of welfare systems and the implications for the form and financial structure of the delivery of services of general interest (Public services) and special markets as the housing market
  • compare impact for households as economic actors depending on the welfare mode chose of the delivery of services of general interest and special markets
  • apply theoretical distinctions in welfare modes to country case studies
