After successful completion of this course, students:

  • understand the characteristics of culture and are able to explain the challenges managers face in an intercultural environment.
  • are able to explain and apply comparative cultural models;
  • are able to explain how different aspects of communication influence the role of managers in decision-making processes and make use of the impact of culture in these processes;
  • understand how culture affects motivation and leadership and can apply this knowledge to cross-cultural situations
  • understand the challenges of foreign assignments and are able to develop strategies for dealing with these challenges
