After successful completion of the course students are able
- to understand and competently use the grammatical structures in “teaching content”
- to use formal and informal presentations styles for business talks
- to give a professional presentation about a current financial/business topic
- to understand and talk about marketing tools
- to describe trends and developments (line graphs, pie charts, bar charts)
- to deal with figures and talk about finance
- to make telephone arrangements
- to discuss important current business topics in a professional manner e.g., government spending and taxation, government intervention in the economy
- to consider the uses of stocks and shares
- to talk about price changes
- to discuss different possible investments
