Market Leader Units 1-6: brands, travel, change management, company organisation, advertising, money and dealing with figures, working across cultures, social English, British and American English, idiomatic expressions; business communication: e-mails, company presentation, making arrangements on the telephone, meetings, advertising campaigns, case studies; Business grammar: tenses, questions and negations, noun combinations, countable and uncountable nouns, articles, adverbs and adjectives, comparison.

After the completion of the course Business English 1, the students will be able to use the basic English grammar both orally and in writing to communicate in a variety of business situations in English.

By the end of this course,
- the students understand and are competent to use
- the English tenses (actively and passively);
- auxiliary, full and modal verbs;
- multi-word verbs
- gerund and infinitive constructions;
- countable and uncountable nouns;
- adjectives and adverbs;
- adverbs of degree
- statements, questions and negations;
- if non-native, they have acquired an easy-to-understand international English accent.
- students can differentiate between British and American English in spelling, pronunciation and
- students can describe trends, graphs, charts, and tables using appropriate structures also for figures and currencies.
- students can write formal and informal business letters/emails
