Learning outcome
On the successful completion of this course the students will have obtained the knowledge, skills and competences to implement controlling mechanisms in the fields of transport and traffic. The focus is on the practice-oriented application of activity-based costing and the entirety of fleet management, which enables students to analyze and evaluate the operating procedures and the fleet in a transport business, which serves as a basis for the assessment of its economic viability. The students should also be able to analytically understand problematic situations in the field of transport demand and to create adequate approaches to solutions. Moreover, the student will possess advanced knowledge of the structure and functional principles of software applications used by transportation businesses and forwarding agencies. Practical competencies and skills are trained by means of exercise examples.
