• 5% short Cases (assessment criteria: plausibility of analysis and proposed solution) • 25% group case work (assessment criteria: plausibility of analysis and proposed solution, use of relevant sources and approaches, formal correctness, presentation in class) • 70% final exam (closed book) (assessment criteria: correctness and complexity of solutions)

Learning outcome

After successfully completing this course, students will be able to • name the basic conceptions and elements of an organisational strategy and • employ strategic planning techniques and tools for strategic analysis, • conduct a strategic analysis also in a global setting, identify and describe the strategic options open to a company and • develop the appropriate strategy for a company through the targeted use of strategic tools and present (concrete) solutions for (case) companies.
