*) Concepts of sustainability and social responsibility: sustainability and sustainable development, SDGs, triple bottom line (ecology, economy, social), life cycle orientation, stakeholder orientation, transparency and accountability *) Implementation in the organisational context: (corporate) social responsibility, ISO 26000, impact of organisations on society and the environment, standards for sustainability reporting, sustainability strategy *) Implementation in the project context: the role of projects in the sustainable development of organisations and society, impact of sustainability on project management practices, analysis of the impact of projects on sustainability, project sustainability management plan

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to *) explain how projects and project management are embedded in the societal context of economic, environmental and social factors, *) explain the key concepts of sustainability and (social) responsibility and their consideration in projects and project management, *) assess the impact of a project on society and the environment and compare this impact with the (sustainability) strategy of the organisation.
