Assessment methods and criteria

• 40% group/case work (assessment criteria: plausibility of the analysis and proposed solution, correct use of relevant methods and techniques, formal correctness) • 60% final written examination (closed book, assessment criteria: correctness of content, knowledge and practical application of methods and approaches, completeness of answers)

Learning outcome

After successfully completing this course, students will be able to • illustrate aims and principles of quality management, • illustrate aims and principles of risk management (on organisation level), • explain the structure of quality and risk management systems as well as their interplay, • describe selected approaches of quality management systems and illustrate their particularities, advantages and disadvantages, • apply selected methods of quality management and risk management, and • actively co-design the risk and quality management of an organisation in the role as quality/project manager.
