Learning outcome
After successful completion of the course, students can:
- understand different structures of public management
- explain the meaning of foundational economy and concepts of the economy of the common good.
- compare structures and developments of public management across European economies
- understand the reasons of public intervention in imperfect markets (incl. pursuing public policy objectives)
- explain the structure and instruments of public subsidies in Austria and the European Union
- differentiate and apply the meaning of structural funds of the EU funding programmes (incl. structural funds) for country national and sectoral cases
