Learning outcome
After successfully completing the course, students will be able to: Describe the aspects of organization theory – environment, social structure, culture, technology, and physical structure. Explain theories regarding the relationship between organizations and their environment and apply them to specific organizational contexts. Evaluate different organizational forms (e.g., functional, divisional, matrix, tensor, process-oriented, crowd-sourced, agile, democratic, alternative). Explain organizational culture from modern, symbolic-interpretive, and postmodern perspectives. Discuss the connections between physical structure, social structure, technology, and organizational culture.
