International Politics and Security

Brief description

The most important schools of thought on national and international, military and political security are presented in order to gain a structured, theory-based foundation for the analysis of foreign policy and international politics. Furthermore, the most important norms of international law - both written and customary international law - are covered. In addition, legally compliant and illegal strategies of states to exert pressure on other states are discussed. Finally, students gain insight into current and recent violent conflicts in international politics.
