Learning outcome
After successful completion of this course, students:
- understand the characteristics of culture and are able to explain the challenges managers face in an intercultural environment.
- are able to explain and apply comparative cultural models;
- are able to explain how different aspects of communication influence the role of managers in decision-making processes and make use of the impact of culture in these processes;
- understand how culture affects motivation and leadership and can apply this knowledge to cross-cultural situations
- understand the challenges of foreign assignments and are able to develop strategies for dealing with these challenges
