  • Introduction to Quality Management (quality planning, tailoring, quality costs, customer satisfaction), Relation to project management and process management;
  • quality management systems (ISO 9001; CMMI; ITIL);
  • quality management methods (risk management; configuration management; requirements management, …);
  • Quality assurance methods (such as: peer review; tests, FMEA, 8D report, Seven tools of quality, ..);
  • Quality improvement methods (continual improvement; methods to identify potential opportunities for improvement; cause analysis)

Learning outcome

Upon successful completion, students will have acquired skills to actively support the process of quality assurance within an organisation, to apply selected quality assurance methods and support quality management systems. They will understand the interaction between quality management and process management and they will be able to draw a connection between quality management and project management.
