After successful completion of the course, the students can
describe the essential international film- and media-historical developments from the early film history, the end of the 19th century to the present day
describe and explain the historical developments of certain structures, genres and technologies of contemporary filmmaking
estimate the meaning of the impact of technological developments on the film and media production
link styles and art forms if film history with economic, political or technological frameworks
