After successful completion of the course students can • understand and competently use the grammatical structures in “course content” • use formal and informal presentations styles for business talks • give a professional company presentation • write formal and informal business letters and emails • apply for a job by writing CVs and cover letters • participate in and conduct job interviews • write short business reports • design an advertising campaign • talk professionally about free trade • describe trends, graphs, charts, and tables using appropriate structures also for figures and currencies • make travel, meeting, conference, hotel, or similar arrangements • inquire about a product or service • respond to an inquiry • complain about a product or service • respond to a complaint • read and understand authentic business-related texts or watch business-related news coverage and summarize them in their own words • make telephone arrangements or obtain and give information on the phone • socialize / do small talk / network • listen actively • ask and answer difficult questions
