Brief description

In this project seminar students will work on a BDM project. Input and tasks on

  • tasks and tools of BDM,
  • links between creativity and innovation,
  • creativity methods
  • lean management strategies
  • market analysis
  • lean management strategies, and
  • business model canvas
are linked to the students’ BDM projects.

Learning outcome

After successful completion of the course, students can

  • define Business Development and know the main tasks of and tools for Business Development Management
  • analyse the links between Business Development and strategy
  • understand the link between creativity and innovation and are able to apply basic creativity methods in their BDM project
  • apply lean management strategies
  • apply the Business Model Canvas to develop new business models
  • conceptualize and structure a BDM project, conduct the necessary analyses, and create a BDM concept
  • design an abbreviated business plan for a BDM project
  • present their project tailored to their relevant target group.
