Introduction, definition of sustainability and the basic concepts, environmental influences and protective goals and their interactions, derived requirements on transport systems and carriers of traffic, loading and logistics devices, valuation methods, environmental and sustainability management systems, methods and tools for emissions reduction in road, rail, sea and air traffic, emissions reduction in transport chains and quantification thereof

Learning outcome
After the completion of the course, the students will be able to explain the current concepts of environmental and sustainability management with the different economic, ecological and social dimensions and demonstrate their interactions with each other. They should be able to deduce the significant environmental impacts / pollution and safety objectives of future requirements for sustainable transport and logistics and apply the methods and instruments of emission reduction in road, rail, sea and air transport.
